This is for an MCOV operator, reservist position with FEMA. You'd basically drive either a 39 foot modified RV to and from disaster areas and operate it (setup the SATCOMM stuff and use an outrigger box to put phone & internet service into a building).

The "purpose-built 26-foot F-550 cargo trucks" aren't out yet, but are the replacements for the RVs.

I think that sounds worse than being a greeter at Walmart. It sounds like the position where no one will ever appreciate you, you will always be the bad guy, and you will be miserable during the whole deployment fixing things. Not to mention you have to drive everywhere in a giant road barge while the rest deploy directly to the site by C130 or something.
